When is proof required in order to change the book value of a security?
For changes in a registered account, proof is required to justify the adjustment to the book value of your securities.
For changes in a non-registered account, it is not mandatory to attach proof to the Book Value Adjustment 27740 form available in the Other forms and requests section of the forms page. Send us the completed form by email to directbrokerage@nbc.ca.
